Every man’s worst nightmare; having to ask his wife to use her boat to go fishing! Well that is what Gwyn Reaves’ husband will be doing from now on. Mrs. Reaves of Stonewall, Louisiana is the recent winner of a 2010 Triton Storm given away at H&W Marine’s Grand Opening in Bossier City on June 19th.

The new Location of H&W Marine opened recently at 517 Benton Road in what was the former Kia dealership. “We figured the best way to let everyone know we are now open and make some new friends, was to give away a free boat. Over the last month, we have advertised for folks to come by our new store and register to win the boat and we have had more fun visiting them. Everybody just made us feel so welcome to the community” said Bucky Boone, H&W Marine of Bossier City’s Store Manager.

That Saturday morning Mr. Reaves said to his wife “I just have a feeling you are going to win that boat you signed up for”. She replied with “If I do; I will get up there in my bikini!” Later that afternoon; Gwyn Reaves was out working in her yard, when he hollered out that she had a call. She was in shock and tears when she heard on the other end; Chris Knight, H&W Marine’s General Manager say “Congratulations Gwyn, you won the boat!”

Still in shock, Gwyn and her husband along with their grandson made a beeline to H&W Marine to pick up her new boat. When they got there, her husband immediately told all the guys at H&W that she told him on the way that she will be getting him a t-shirt that he will have to wear to use the boat that will say “I borrowed this boat from my wife!” He also said she had already retracted the offer regarding the bikini.

The new Bossier City location of H&W Marine will be managed by Shreveport native and boating industry veteran, Bucky Boone. Boone managed the former Travis Boating Center prior to its acquisition by Bass Pro Shops.

Even before their arrival, H&W Marine has been well known by local anglers for their long running title as the #1 Triton Dealer in the world and for now hosting the popular “TNT” Thursday Night Tournaments on Cross Lake. The TNT Championship will be held live at the new Bossier City H&W Marine on September 25, 2010.
