Hello and welcome to UltimateBass.com. I'm Laurie Cork, born and raised in central California. My husband is in the Air Force and stationed in Bossier City Louisiana where we now call home and plan to retire from the military, military willing? I have held a couple different office jobs but have always loved working with websites and in 2002 I decided to follow my passion and I am now a webmaster and work from home, building and maintaining websites.

Ultimate Bass has always been a dream of mine and in 1998 I finally put it together and claimed my stake in cyber space. I have three wonderful daughters and pets gallor.

I started fishing in smaller ponds in California and moved right on up to organizing tournaments on local lakes; then when we moved to Louisiana and started Ultimate Bass as a team tournament trail; which has evolved into what you see here, although time constaints and military deployments regretably forced us to stop running the tournaments. Bass fishing is a major part of my life. I enjoy getting on the water every chance I get and fishing with our local club is a great bonus, the comraderie is probably the best part for me. Although coming to the scale with a big sack of bass comes in a very close second. I don't have the time to commit to circuit fishing, but hope to in the future. So for right now I fish with our club and any open events that fit my very busy schedule. Most of my time is dedicated to improving Ultimatebass.com. I am always looking for new ways to promote the sport of bass fishing. That is the basis for Ultimate Bass, to get bass fisherman and clubs together in one spot for the exchange of information and ideas that will make us all better fisherman and representatives of our great sport.

During my adventures I have fished in California, Missouri, Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana. One thing my travels have taught me is how different bass fishing can be in different parts of the world. But one thing I know for sure, soft plastics will catch bass no matter where you are at, good thing that is my favorite technique!
